Wonderous Cavern
This is one of my most recent games, coded entirely from start to finish, where I further developed my programming skills, enhanced my problem-solving abilities, and gained experience with a new engine. The project was completed as part of a two-month game jam, where I took a beta version of a time-based platformer and transformed it into a polished final product.

My Role
-
Handled all the coding for core mechanics, including wall jumping, animations, and the countdown timer.
-
Developed the entire game from the beta stage, using free asset packs to build out the levels and refine gameplay.
-
Regularly sought feedback from others on game mechanics, user experience, and overall game flow, applying much of this input to improve the game.
Challenges
-
Solved various coding errors and bugs, especially when working with new mechanics like wall jumping and animations.
-
Adapted to learning Godot, a new game engine for me, dedicating three months to mastering its features and applying it effectively in the development process.
-
Managed time efficiently during the two-month game jam to turn a beta into a polished final product while integrating feedback.

Softwares and Skills
-
Chose Godot as the engine for this 2D platformer, learning it from scratch and finding it ideal for 2D game development.
-
Used various coding resources to overcome complex challenges and refine the game’s mechanics.
